Syerov Yuri Olehovych is a Ukrainian researcher, Philosophy Doctor in Technical Sciences, assistant professor, assistant manager in research work of the Department for Social Communication and Information Activity of National University Lviv Polytechnic.

Professional Activity
1998 – 2003 – the student of the Department for Information Systems and networks, Institute for Computer Sciences and Information Technologies, National University Lviv Polytechnic.
2003 – graduated from the National University Lviv Polytechnic with specialization “Intellectual systems of decision making” and got the qualification “Master of Computer Sciences”.
2003 – 2007 – post-graduate student of the National University Lviv Polytechnic.
2004 – 2010 – the assistant at the Department for “Information Systems and Networks”, National University Lviv Polytechnic.
2010 – 2011 – the senior teacher of the Department for “Information Systems and Networks”, National University Lviv Polytechnic.
2011 – 2013 – the senior teacher of the Department for Social Communication and Information activity, National University Lviv Polytechnic.
Since 2013 – the assistant professor at the Department for Social Communication and Information Activity, National University Lviv Polytechnic.
Since 2011 - assistant manager in research work of the Department for Social Communication and Information Activity of National University Lviv Polytechnic.

Research Work
In 2010 he passed Ph.D. defense with the research work “The Methods and Resources for the Creating of the Effective Virtual Systems in Terms of Web-Platforms” of the specialization 01. 05. 03 “Mathematical and Program Securing of the Calculating Machines and Systems”.
The research advisor: Doctor in Technical Sciences, Professor Peleshchyshyn Andriy Mykolayovych, the head of the Department for for Social Communication and Information Activity, National University Lviv Polytechnic.
Yuriy Syerov is a member of the editorial boards of the popular foreign academic journals:
- International Journal of Education and Information Technology;
- American Journal of Social Science Research;
- Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities.
He was one of the young researchers who actualized the project “The Foundation and Activity Arrangement of the Children’s Remote Center for Learning and Consulting in Lviv Region” for the grant cost from President of Ukraine for the endowed youth (The executive order from December, 14 2005).

- Methods and Resources for the Creating of the Effective Virtual Systems in Terms of Web-Platforms;
- Virtual communities and social networks in WWW;
- Problems of the building and development of the information society;
- Electronic ordering;
- Methods of information wars prosecuting and resistance against them.
Research Works
The scientific work of Yuriy Syerov includes more than 90 research papers among which there are some publications in foreign journals what is consisted in the scientific database Scopus.
Qualification Skills
In 2006 attended the courses Microsoft Certification Pr ogram (MCP): «Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment». In 2007 passed the exam successfully and got the certificate MPC сертифікат MCP.
Projects
Yuriy Syerov does the active scientific and organization work to create a positive image of the Department for Social Communication and Information activity in the virtual networks [1], [2]. He provides the virtual presentation of Lviv Polytechnic in the most popular social networks [3] [4], which are used to inform systematically the Internet users about the university activity.
