Syerov Yuriy Olehovych is a Ukrainian researcher, Philosophy Doctor of Technical Sciences, associated professor, deputy head of research work of the Department of Social Communication and Information Activity of Lviv Polytechnic National University.

Research Work
In 2010 he defended his doctoral with research work “The Methods and Resources for the Creating of the Effective Virtual Systems in Terms of Web-Platforms” of the specialization 01. 05. 03 “Mathematical and Program Securing of the Calculating Machines and Systems”.
The research supervisor: Doctor Technical Sciences, Professor Peleshchyshyn Andriy Mykolayovych, the head of the Department for for Social Communication and Information Activity, National University Lviv Polytechnic.
Yuriy Syerov is a member of editorial boards of the following popular foreign academic journals:
- International Journal of Education and Information Technology;
- American Journal of Social Science Research;
- Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities.
He was one of the young researchers who actualized the project “The Foundation and Organizational Activity of the Children’s Remote Center for Learning and Consulting in Lviv Region” for the grant cost from President of Ukraine for the endowed youth (The executive order from December, 14 2005).

Qualification Skills
In 2006 attended the courses Microsoft Certification Program (MCP): «Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment». In 2007 passed the exam successfully and got the certificate MPC Certificate MCP.
Projects
Yuriy Syerov does the active scientific and organization work to create a positive image of the Department for Social Communication and Information activity in the virtual networks. He provides the virtual presentation of Lviv Polytechnic in the most popular social networks, which are used to inform systematically the Internet users about the university activity.
