The Technology College is a separate educational-research department of Lviv Polytechnic National University, which was created through the reorganization of Viacheslav Chornovil Lviv National Institute of Advanced Technologies and Entrepreneurship that joined Lviv Polytechnic National University in 2011.

General Information

Technology College of Lviv Polytechnic National University was created when Viacheslav Chornovil Lviv National Institute of Advanced Technologies and Entrepreneurship was reorganized and connected to Lviv Polytechnic National University in accordance with the Ministry of Education and Science decree on 2010 , № 1284, On Reorganization of Viacheslav Chornovil Lviv National Institute of Advanced Technologies and Entrepreneurship, decree of Lviv Polytechnic National University on 24.01.2011, № 9-10, On Creation as Part of Lviv Polytechnic National University Structural Unit, Viacheslav Chornovil Lviv National Institute of Advanced Technologies and Entrepreneurship’, decree of Lviv Polytechnic National University on 27.05.2011, № 407-1-10, On Creation of a Separate Structural Unit — Technology College of Lviv Polytechnic National University based on the reorganized Viacheslav Chornovil Lviv National Institute of Advanced Technologies and Entrepreneurship.

From the very beginning of its creation due to the actual majors, Technology College is popular among school graduates.

Innovative, adapted to the needs of international and national education, socially reasonable programs are the basis of the College development concept .

Science, art and the advanced technologies – all of that presents part and parcel of the life of modern society and is combined in those programs.

The educational process at the College is provided by highly experienced teachers. The hard work and unity of the teaching staff is aimed at creation of a strong educational-material base.

History of the College

The functioning of Technology College, the separate structural department of Lviv Polytechnic National University as the institution began in June 6, 1947 when Lviv Electromechanical College was established by the decree of Federal Ministry of Industry and Means of Communication.

In 1963 it was renamed as Lviv College of Radioelectronics. College was accredited due to the decision of Intersectoral Accreditation Commission.

In October, 1994, its status was also changed by assigning a new name — The West Ukrainian Collegium.

In November 28, 2003, The West Ukrainian Institute of Information Technologies and Management in Donetsk National Academy of Management was formed on the base of reorganized college according to the Cabinet of Ministers resolution. The college of The West Ukrainian Institute of Information Technologies and Management at Donetsk National University of Management, as a structural unit of the Institute, was created on the basis of abolished Lviv Vocational School № 53 by the decree of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, dated on March 26, 2004, № 250.

Since 2005 the institute bears the name Viacheslav Chornovil Lviv National Institute of Advanced Technologies and Entrepreneurship that has been given by Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers decree on July 23, 2005, № 283. College of The West Ukrainian Institute of Information Technologies and Management at Donetsk National University of Management, was also renamed as College of Viacheslav Chornovil Lviv National Institute of Advanced Technologies and Entrepreneurship.

The school of design of Viacheslav Chornovil Lviv National Institute of Advanced Technologies and Entrepreneurship was created to implement the multistage system of specialists training as a structural unit in the framework of Viacheslav Chornovil Lviv National Institute of Advanced Technologies and Entrepreneurship. The school was established through the reorganization of Lviv National College of Design. The school of design preserved the licensed scope for junior specialists’ training due to the decree of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on December 18, 2006, № 829.

Due to the decree of Viacheslav Chornovil Lviv National Institute of Advanced Technologies and Entrepreneurship On Closing Separate Subdivision — the School of Design of Viacheslav Chornovil Lviv National Institute of Advanced Technologies and Entrepreneurship ‘ on October 29, 2009 № 218 and the letter of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, dated on October 15, 2009 № 1 / 11-8626, the School of Design of Viacheslav Chornovil Lviv National Institute of Advanced Technologies and Entrepreneurship was closed via amalgamation with College of Viacheslav Chornovil Lviv National Institute of Advanced Technologies and Entrepreneurship, a separate subdivision of the Institute without corporate franchise. The main purpose of merger provides for the efficiency enhancement of the educational process at the institute and its standalone units, and optimization of the management of the educational establishment.

The decree of Lviv Polytechnic National University on 27.05.2011, № 407-1-10 On Creation of a Separate Structural Unit — Technological College of Lviv Polytechnic National University, College become a part of the university at the premises of reorganized Сollege of Viacheslav Chornovil Lviv National Institute of Advanced Technologies and Entrepreneurship.
