Biographical Information

In 2020, Valeriia Hutsaliuk graduated from Lviv Polytechnic National University with a Master’s degree in International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies.

In 2021, she began her doctoral studies at Lviv Polytechnic National University.

In 2025, V. Hutsaliuk defended her PhD dissertation on the topic «Features of the use of normative power in the EU climate policy (on the case of Ukraine)». The specialty — «291 International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies».

  1. Awarding of a research grant «International Visegrad Fund grant» by the International Visegrad Fund and the European University Institute for conducting research at the Historical Archives of the European Union (Florence, Italy, 2025–2027) and preparing an academic paper on the normative power in EU environmental and climate policy.
  2. Participation in the School of Polish Language and Culture («Szkoła Języka i Kultury Polskiej») of the University of Silesia in Katowice (Cieszyn, Poland, 1.08–28.08.2025), funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
  3. Participation in the Symposium for PhD students at Warsaw University of Technology (Warsaw, Poland, 20.09.2024), funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
  4. Award and implementation of a research grant at the Graduate School of the Invisible University for Ukraine (autumn semester, September 2024 – January 2025), awarded by the Central European University and the Open Society University Network (OSUN), with co-funding from the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD), as well as the Porticus Foundation, the Institute of International Education (US), XTX Markets, and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.
  5.
