From 2017 - engaged in scientific activity at the Department of Social Communications and Information Activities in Lviv Polytechnic National University.

From 2017 р. has started research and scientific activity at the Department of Social Communications and Information Activities, researching Big Data usage in such fields: Education, Healthcare, Medicine, and Historical science.

Taras Ustyianovych explores methods of Big Data usage in Education and Healthcare, methods of knowledge discovery and missing data imputation for medical records recovery, real-time health monitoring, application of machine learning to predict and improve pupils' and students' performance at education.

Also participates in international conferences, tech talks, collaborates on research activity to discover new methods for solving real-world problems in the fields of medicine, healthcare using data-driven technologies.
