"Kolomyiskyi Polytechnic College" is a separate educational-scientific structural unit (Lviv Polytechnic National University) which in 2010 joined a university and carries out the preparation of specialists of academic levels — junior specialist and bachelor (for the short term of studies).

General Information
Kolomyiskyi Polytechnic College of Lviv Polytechnic National University is a modern higher educational establishment, one of the oldest educational establishments of Prykarpattya.
The college graduates continue their studies in a higher educational establishments of III - IV level of accreditation for the short term of studies. An educational-laboratory corps, dormitory, library, reading, sporting and act halls, dining-room, educational-productive workshops, publishing-methodical center, computer classes, sporting sections, amateur groups are at students’ disposal. Training courses are organized here for preparation for entrance examinations. The entrance examinations are held on the full-time and distance learning.
History of College
Kolomyiskyi Polytechnic College traces its roots in the 90s of 19th century, when a framework of a school of arboreal craft in Kolomyia was established. According to the resolution of 1894, November, 15 the Austrian government gave it the official name of "imperial-royal professional school of arboreal craft". The educational establishment that took as a basis of its program the rich hutsulian traditions of arboreal art, had four professional departments: figured and ornamental carving, building and furniture joinery, wood turner, and also carpentry.
Since 1939 the school was transferred to the factory-professional category and prepared mainly workers of mechanical processing of wood and joiners.
In 1941 its previous status was returned to school and in 1942 7 new departments were opened: building, wainwright, shoemaking, metalwork, tinwork, wiring and watch making. At this time the craft school was named "State handicraft school with Ukrainian language of teaching in Kolomyia". There a branch of Lviv technical professional school - building lyceum that prepared specialists in architecture and internal registration of building was opened.
On January, 26, 1945 Kolomyiskyi college of mechanical processing of wood was established on the base of handicraft school by the Ministry of Education of the Ukrainian SSR №89.
According to the order of the Ministry of Wood Industry of the USSR on 16.05.1991 № 32/120 Kolomyiskyi college of mechanical processing of wood was reorganized into Kolomyiskyi College of Mechanics and Technology.
Due to the decree of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on May 17, 2000, № 139, Kolomyia mechanics and technical college is renamed Kolomyia polytechnic college, because college prepares specialists in different fields and professions and the name Mechanics and technical college can’t illustrate real directions of preparing specialists.
Due to the decree of the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine on January 22, 2010, № 33, a separated structural unit Kolomyia polytechnic college of National university "Lviv Polytechnic" has been created.
